Cherrypan is an excellent backerboard in humid areas. It is a multipurpose board which is used in partitions and ceilings. And more.. It has fire rating characteristics. Cherrypan can function as a finished wall panel if painted or it can be covered with tiles. It should only be used interior. The edges can be chamfered so that the joints can be filled up with a traditional filler for calcium silicate boards. In wet areas Calcium Silicate boards are more stable then fibercement boards because they have reached their final stability in the factory before departure, whereas traditional fibercement sheets reach this stability only after a long carbonatation process. This process takes several years and can give cause to deformations or cracks. |
